Life’s Currency Within You

“What are you willing to pay?”

When reading the statement, the image that may have appeared in your mind was money.

Perhaps you imagined a scenario of negotiating a monetary value of an item; however, our concept of money is not the only form of currency on this earth. In fact, the most valuable currency is intangible and often forgotten.

What is the “currency”?

When you were born, your sole responsibility was to take care of yourself: mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. The benefit is receiving compensation in the form of “currency”. The “currency” is received in the form of peace, contentment, safety, and health. In the event that you choose to prioritize anything else, you become in “debt” with yourself and ultimately “bankrupt”.

Ask yourself, what is most important?

Though professional titles, degrees, relationships, salaries, etc. are very important components of modern living, is it most important? It should not be.

Your well-being, mental health, and purpose should have prioritization in your life. There is not a currency on Earth that should be valued more than the currency you receive from taking care of yourself.
